Iris Sauber is an energetic, enthusiastic, self-made and self-
motivated dynamic woman. She is also altruistic, warm and
sincere. Life presented Iris with many obstacles from the start,
but she was not to be defeated. These hardships and hurdles
gave way to an iron will matched in its equity by an empathetic
and caring heart...all of which adds to the flowing humanity one
feels when meeting her. Iris has a keen ability to relate to and
connect with people from all walks of life and on all levels. Most
importantly, people feel at ease in connecting with her.
A single parent who was abandoned during her pregnancy, Iris was forced
to find a way to survive and support herself and her soon-to-be-born
child. After being on welfare until her child was old enough to attend
school, she took up full-time work while putting herself through
college, raising her son and providing a home for both of them. “From
Welfare to $100K” is just one of her moving and poignant keynote
addresses. In it, she shares a bird’s-eye view about this part of her past.
She is a great motivator and living testimony for those seeking to change
their lives and those who feel weighed down by adversities.
Iris worked as a salesperson in a vastly male dominated industry and
attained such a level of success that she rose to the position of Vice
President of Sales and Marketing. She claimed many awards and
honors for her personal and professional commitments and achievements
along the way. As VP Sales, she worked with, trained and mentored
hundreds of salespeople. She single-handedly created strategies which
led individuals, teams and businesses to unprecedented growth, both
personally and economically. As the driving force behind two
different organizations, she oversaw the growth of one from $1.2
million to $15 million in ten years and the second from $18 million to
$26 million in three years, which led to a profitable buy-out. This was
the catalyst for Iris to start her own consulting and training firm.
Iris has a B.S. degree in English and Sociology and an M.B.A. She is
involved in numerous professional and civic organizations throughout the
State of Maryland.
